The Armenian delegation, which has left for Tbilisi, met with owner of Hovhannes Tumanyan's house in Tbilisi Archil Lezhava.
Chairman of Armenian Writers Union Levon Ananyan said the talks put an end to all the statements and controversial information spread by the mass media.
The information that Lezhava is a businessman does not correspond to reality, too. The latter is a young lawyer, who has got education in the USA. He obtained this house in 2002. Then it was a library named after Hovhannes Tumanyan. For 5 years he allowed to use that apartment as a library without any compensation, paying all the taxes, but afterward the library was moved.
Now the young lawyer wants to marry, he has decided to repair the building and live there. The information that the territory will become a hostel for Turkish workers is not true, too. "I know Tumanyan, he is a genius for Armenian people," Lezhava said.
During the discourse Lezhava offered to give him an apartment with the same sizes – 120 square meters, in the same district. He had started the repair works, but stopped with the request of the Armenian delegation.
The parties came to terms that if no decision is adopted within a month, Lezhava will resume the repair works. Chair of the Georgian Writers Union, distinguished novelist, and friend of Armenian people Revaz Mishveladze attended the meeting of the delegation.
