Armenian GM Levon Aronian gained victory against Vugar Hashimov in the 6th round of the Wijk Aan Zee 2012 "Tata Steel" chess tournament.
Aronian, the second in FIDE rankings, has 4.5 points.

Levon Aronyan (born 6 October, 1982) is an Armenian chess Grandmaster and the reigning World Blitz Chess Champion. On the January 2012 FIDE list, he has an Elo rating of 2805, making him number two in the world and Armenia's number one. He won the Chess World Cup 2005.
