Yerevan Mayor meets US Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern.

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met US Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern. Expressing gratitude for warm reception, the ambassador congratulated Taron Margaryan on taking the office, press service of Yerevan municipality informed.

Expressing gratitude for the congratulation and good wishes and mentioning that Armenian-American relations are at a high level, Mayor Taron Margaryan highlighted the development of the bilateral ties in different spheres.

With the ambassador's request, the Yerevan Mayor presented the programs aimed at development of the capital and the main directions, which are primary today for development of the urban economy, for making Yerevan more attractive. In that context Taron Margaryan attached importance to the support of the US.

For his part, Ambassador Hoffern expressed readiness to assist in enhancement of the ties between different US cities and Yerevan and in implementation of concrete programs.
