Armenia’s Ministry of Defense reacted on HCA Vanadzor office's statement over deaths in Armenian army.

Press secretary of Armenia’s Minister of Defense Davit Karapetyan reacted on Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly (HCA) Vanadzor office’s announcement where it has been told that the facts about incidents in the army presented by Armenia’s Ministry of Defense are not correct and the death incidents have not decreased.

The press secretary’s answer reads as follows:

“HCA Vanadzor office’s announcement on death incidents in the army is surprising. The public was properly informed about the 36 deadly incidents which occurred in the RA Armed Forces in 2011.

The 39 deaths announced by the HCA Vanadzor office have been done according to their own classification and the responsibility lies only on HCA Vanadzor office.”
