Todorovsky to be buried at Novodevichy cemetery next to Yeltsin

Famous film-maker Pyotr Todorovsky will be buried at Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow near first Russian President Boris Yeltsin and cellist and conductor Mstislav Rostropovich, first secretary of the Russian Film-Makers Union Sergei Lazaruk told Interfax on Monday.
"The Moscow city authorities found a place for Pyotr Todorovsky in the central row of Novodevichy cemetery next to Yeltsin and Rostropovich," he said.
Todorovsky died on Friday in a Moscow clinic at the age of 87. Todorovsky directed 17 films among them "City Romance", "Military Post Romance", "Inter-Girl", "With Orchestra along the Main Street" and others.
He made his last film, "Rio-Rita", in 2008. Todorovsky will be buried on Tuesday, May 28.
There will be no church ceremony. "As far as I know Todorovsky was not baptized," Lazaruk said. However, there will be a civil ceremony at the Central Cinema House.
