Georgian PM warns Ukraine against heeding Saakashvili's advice

Georgian Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili recommends the acting Ukrainian government not to heed Mikheil Saakashvili's advices. The premier said this in a televised interview on Georgian public television.

Garibashvili was surprised that the Ukrainian government consulted Saakashvili. "I was told that he was invited as an advisor. I do not interfere in Ukraine’s affairs, but I believe it is a mistake to heed Saakashvili's advices," he said.

Saakashvili did not prevent the 2008 war in Georgia, he reminded. If Ukraine in such a crisis situation had such an adventurer as an advisor, it would be great mistake. It would lead to catastrophic results, the premier warned.

Garibashvili advised Ukrainian leaders to take into consideration Saakashvili's biography, his radical nature, his adventurous approaches to affairs and to the catastrophe he led Georgia to in his time. "Saakashvili feeds on crisis situations and radicalism, and feels unwell when the situation is stable and peaceful. He repeatedly proved it to be so," the prime minister noted.
