Armenian, French FMs meet in Paris

As part of his working visit to France, Armenia’s foreign minister met with his French counterpart in Paris on Thursday.
According to a press release by the Foreign Ministry, FMs Edward Nalbandian and Laurent Fabius discussed plans for French President Francois Hollande's scheduled trip to Armenia this May.
Highlighting the high level of the bilateral relations, the sides discussed possibilities of developing and expending economic cooperation. FM Nalbandian told the French official that around 160 companies with the French capital operate in Armenia today, adding that the country hails the growth of French investments in the country.
The two ministers further addressed the EU-Armenia relations in the light of the declaration signed in Vilnius in November (Eastern Partnership summit).
The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peace talks were also on the visit agenda. Highly praising the constructive involvement of France and the other co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group in the process, Armenia’s top diplomat stressed the importance of the joint efforts towards a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
FM Nalbandian reiterated Armenia’s willingness to continue the cooperation with the OSCE Minsk Group. The sides further talked of regional and international developments, focusing on the crisis in Ukraine and the possible ways of its resolution. The Iran nuclear talks were also discussed at the meeting.
