P5+1 experts find preliminary solutions on future agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program

Experts from Iran and P5+1 (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) have found preliminary solutions to three out of nine points of a future comprehensive agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program, a diplomatic source familiar with the results of the Vienna consultations told Itar-Tass.

“Proposals have been prepared by a meeting of political directors due to take place in the Austrian capital on March 17-20,” the diplomatic source said.

Preliminary solutions have been found on international cooperation in the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, the work of a research reactor in Arak and the parameters of Iran’s future enrichment program, he said.

“All issues will be considered at final rounds in order to make concessions and reach mutual understanding,” he added.
The regular round of talks will take place in Vienna on March 17-20. P5+1 will be represented by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton. Iran’s delegation will be led by Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. Russia will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
