Berezovski to Putin: Let Russia free
Blogosphere
Businessman Boris Berezovski, which sheltered in London from Russian state agencies, wrote an open letter to RF President Vladimir Putin, which particularly states:
“Volodya, today the orthodox world begins to hold a post, which is devoted to Assumption of Holy Virgin. And today I apply to you not as a politician to its opponent and not as persecuted to the persecutor. I speak to you as a Christian.”
On August 17 you have to pass a sentence on Masha Alyokhina, Katia Samutsevich and Nadia Tolokonikova. I know that judges, attorneys, investigators are involved in the case, but Russia and the world know that it’s passed personally by you.
Have compassion to be deserved compassion.
I know how it’s hard for you, how it’s hard to carry the burden of the committed errors of 12 years, tragic errors and even fatal. It’s so hard when you completely deny presenting you as absolutely innocent. “There were no errors in the sense of choice….development, choice of problem solving ways”, with these words you concluded your two presidential terms. I know, how it’s hard for you, as I know how hard the burden of not confessed errors is, I was keeping them in my heart before public penitence. Just realize that contrition especially in public, especially on the fixed case is a sign of not weakness, but of power, Volodya…
August 17 was an important day for Russia. On August 17 of 1998 the crisis began, which after a year brought you in power as a Prime Minister. On August 17 of 2000 at the beginning of your presidency you stopped your vacation in Sochi, 5 days after destruction of Kursk submarine. August 17 of 2012 will summarize your epoch.
Volodya, let Russia free and you in the era of charity.”
To note, three participants of Pussy Riot punk group – Nadejda Tolokonnikova, Maria Alyokhina, Yekaterina Samutsevich were charged with Article 213 of Criminal Code of RF, i.e. “Hooliganism”, for singing the church psalm “Virgin, proscribe Putin” in Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow. Maximum penalty is seven years of imprisonment.
