Armen Martirosyan interprets Serzh Sargsyan's consultation
Political
"Heritage" party member Armen Martirosyan is not of the opinion that Serzh Sargsyan’s convened meeting intends to break up the government.
Martirosyan said in the interview with Lurer.com that, in his opinion, in order to disband the government the president didn’t need that meeting. “If he wanted to disband the government, he’d disband it completely and would tell the reason afterwards. I think that no problem would occur in this respect.
In response to our question, whether Sargsyan’s speech was a "message” to PAP and is connected with the rumors of the expected change of the PM or not Martirosyan said: "No, I do not support that view."
Martirosyan also said, that he doesn’t think any serious change is expected in the government I the close future: “I believe that this government will continue its operation until the presidential elections. And not only the government; it seems that no changes are expected in government-related key positions as well. I rather think that the consultation was just a meeting with representatives of different sectors, which put forward problems before them. The consultation has been in that format. I see in in this series. But now I do not see any change in that respect. "
To remind you, on September 15 Serzh Sargsyan had convened a consultation in the government, which has been attended by the heads of Republican executive agencies, led by the Prime Minister, the heads of the offices of RA President and government, RA Attorney General, the Mayor of Yerevan, the heads of permanently operating agencies, created by RA law, and the chairman of RA NAS.
Taking into account the severe discontent observed in RA President’s speech addressed to the responsible bodies of executive agencies, it seems, that Serzh Sargsyan wants to disband the government and dismiss the RA PM.
