"Realistic de facto”: ANC is on the threshold of “to be or not to be”
Armenian Press
ANC uncertainty is directly proportional to the uncertainty in PAP. As ANC sources inform, Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s nomination is not definite. Out of the 3 variants-Ter-Petrosnyan’s nomination, supporting Oskanian or Tsarukyan, in case of the nomination of either, the nominatin of any ANC member- none of these is to rehabilitate ANC, which lives a hard period, which was being resuscitated during the parliamentary elections by PAP through financial and respiratory “channels” .
One of the preferred variants was to support Oskanian, in case of which both the sheep would survive and the wolves would be fed up. And in case of Oskanian’s nomination, Russia, too, would affirm ( which is just impossible, but as ANCs say, do not tell “never” in politics), Oskanian would simultaneously be considered as West package, and ANCwould not have the issue of losing its face from the external point of view. But at that time internal disagreements would have occurred, in regard with the demands from Oskanian concerning March 1 case. Supporting Tsarukyan is even harder, In respect with March 1, oligarchic “economy” and Kocharyan influence. To nominate its own candidate is the most painful issue in ANC at the moment. “West-North” dilemma cannot be solved there, plus, there is to be a new split-abrasion concerning the presidential elections, because any decision, no matter what it would be won’t satisfy one of the sides or some of them. And eventually, plus another very delicate circumstance, Ter-Petrosyan, who is the sole decision- maker will definitely want to inherit ANC and his started work to his preferred candidate. And that candidate has been and is Levon Zurabyan, who is not recognized neither by Bagratyan, nor by Nikol and other ANC fragments. And Zurabyan side would not prefer to see Nikol as a candidate. So, ANC is standing not on the threshold of presidential elections but on the threshold of “to be or not to be”.
