Clashes with the police took place in Nantes also. It is known that three people were arrested there, and one police officer sustained burns.
In addition, there is a tense situation in Lyon, where supporters of the far right National Rally (RN) party move in organized groups on the streets.
The second round of elections to the National Assembly—the lower house of the French parliament—were conducted on Sunday. According to exit polls, Marine Le Pen's RN party, which is known for its pro-Russian views and statements, has been defeated, it is in third place and can expect only 120-150 seats in the National Assembly.
The leftist NFP coalition has won the election, and President Emmanuel Macron’s centrist Ensemble (Together) alliance came in second.
