A minority of the Georgian Parliament calls on the parliamentary Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze. As one of the leaders of the minority says, they require clarification from the Minister in relation to her statements on Karabakh, Gruzia Online reports.
Panjikidze's statement that the regulation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is possible only within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, caused a negative reaction in Armenia on the eve of Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili's visit to Yerevan on January 17.
"The statements in Lithuania over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has called into question the Prime Minister's visit to Yerevan, we also remember the hasty statement before Prime Minister visit to Baku," said Minashvili, who in the last parliamentary constitution served as Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.
According to Georgian media, the new authorities are ready to change the Foreign Minister and instead Panjikidze appoint the former Secretary of Interior Irakli Menagarishvili.
