Armenia’s major taxpayers of 2012

The Armenian Government’s State Revenue Committee has unveiled the top 1,000 list of the biggest taxpayers.
Tert.am represents the analysis of large taxpayers, but this year it is noteworthy that the 2012 revenues, including the social security payments, totaled 876,700,000 Drams ($2,152,366), which tops the 2011 record by 13 percent.
Some 732,800,000 ($1,799,035) Drams of the above sum fall to the tax revenues, the record being 15 percent higher compared to 2011.
The inputs by the 1,000 major taxpayers made up 77.2% of the total sums paid, with the annual growth being 15.5%.
The top 100 taxpayers, whose payments totaled 48.3%, had a 16.6% annual growth.
The top 10 tax payers have contributed to 21.5% of the tax revenues. Their annual growth was estimated at 9.1%.
Tert.am’s comparative analysis has found that the top five taxpayers’ list has remained unchanged since last year. Armrosgasprom (AMD 30,9 bn. or $75,861), which ranks the second in the index, now appears to be closer to the leading company, the Zangezur Copper-Moybdenym Plant (AMD 31,7 bn. or $77,825).
K-Telecom (brand: VivaCell-MTS) is in the third place, with 21,700,000 Drams ($53,275). The Alex Grig company, owned by MP Samvel Alexanyan, ranks the fourth, with 17,400,000 Drams ($42,718). Armenia’s major landline and mobile telephony operator, Armentel (Beeline), is the last in the top five list. The company’s taxes have made up 11,400,000 Drams ($ 27,987).
