Putin concerned about Cyprus's possible steps damaging economic interests of Russian companies, individuals
Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his concern to Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiadis about the possibility that Cyprus could take some measures that could economically damage Russian companies or individuals, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Putin reaffirmed Russia's principled position on the Cyprus settlement process," he said.
"The heads of state also analyzed the economic situation in Cyprus, including in the context of the Euro Group's proposals on overcoming the crisis," he said.
Anastasiadis "informed Putin of the Cypriot parliament's decision to decline the Euro Group's proposal," he said.
The two leaders "agreed to continue consultations both on the bilateral basis and with the European Commission," he said.
"The two presidents agreed that the Cypriot finance minister and other high-ranking Cypriot officials would visit Moscow" on Wednesday, he said.
At the end of the conversation, Putin invited Anastasiadis to visit Russia at any time convenient to him, he said.
