Earth Hour saved Moscow about $850

The environmental event called Earth Hour has saved Moscow 5 megawatts according to the head of the City Department on Fuel and Energy, Paul Livinsky.
The overall cost of the unspent energy was approximately 26,000 rubles or $840.
The specialist said that Moscow is mainly lit by energy-efficient LEDs, so the amount of savings was not that great.
As part of Earth Hour the lights were turned off in 90 architectural locations in Moscow, including the Kremlin and the famous department store GUM.
