Heckled by the Republicans Barack Obama keeps the focus on the virtues of his health-care law
USA
Barack Obama’s health-care law is raising the Republicans’ ire. Led by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, they have begun a messaging campaign against the law’s implementation. In response, President Barack Obama is looking for allies, and there’s no better place for him to start than Planned Parenthood, a group that helped advocate for the law’s passage, NBC News reported.
As Republicans mount opposition once again to Barack Obama’s health-care law, the US President appealed to women for help in fighting back during a Planned Parenthood National Conference during a Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington Apr 26, 2013. “I am here to also ask for your help, because we need to get the word out,” Obama told Planned Parenthood Friday.
While much of the Care Act will begin being implemented next year, including the unpopular mandate, requiring those who do not have health insurance to obtain it or pay a fine; Obama underlined on Friday that women will unquestionably benefit from this new system.
