Shots fired at Houston airport

A man was shot and killed Thursday in a pre-screening area at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, authorities said.
The episode has delayed some flights to and from the airport, mostly on United - which has waived change fees for customers flying through Houston today, CNN reported.
The incident began when an as-yet unidentified man entered the airport's Terminal B and fired a gun toward the ceiling at around 1:35 p.m. CT, Houston Police Department spokesman Kese Smith told reporters at the airport.
CNN affiliate KHOU reported a man walked into the terminal with a military-style semi-automatic rifle and fired two shots into the ceiling. When he was confronted by an air marshal, the man pulled out another gun and shot himself, the station said, citing witnesses in the terminal.
Given the shooting's location, Kese of the Houston police tells USA TODAY that it's fortunate no one else was hurt.
