Israel’s PM to talk Syria in Moscow
Middle East
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is to visit Russia later this month for talks on Syria, a top Israeli official said Saturday. Tel Aviv is especially concerned with supplies of Russian S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to Syria.
However, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov dismissed the concern saying that Russia has no intention to arm Syria and is now continuing to fulfill the previously signed contracts by delivering military hardware which is purely defensive, Lavrov told reporters in Warsaw Saturday.
