Number of Turkish blast victims rises

The number of victims of twin bombings in Reyhanlı in southeastern Turkey continues to rise. According to the latest reports 43 people were killed and over 140 were injured, 20 are in serious condition.
The terrorist attacks occurred at intervals of 15 minutes apart on the busiest street of the city next to the municipal building and the post office.
Plastic explosives were placed in a car and, according to preliminary reports were set off by remote control.
Major damage was suffered by nearby buildings and cars and the blast left a crater with a large diameter and half a meter deep.
Turkey's intelligence agency previously received information that at the end of April in the Syrian city of Raqqa three vehicles were filled with explosives to carry out attacks on Turkish territory.
According to the Interior Ministry, the persons involved in the execution of terrorist acts have been identified and they are "connected with the Syrian intelligence services."
